Project 2018 - get involved!
This project is about communicating with your audiences in person and online.
Hi everyone!
I’m looking to collaborate with 7 artists from visual or performing backgrounds that have not been working full time in the arts and that whom i have not worked with before.
Exhibition: a pop up showcase event to be held 24th February 2018
Visual artists: to exhibit 2-3 artworks
Performers: a 20-30 mins set
Location: to be decided by social media audiences
This project's goals are to gather feedback of your progress and start a community online to reach out beyond the existing friends and family sphere. This format is more suitable for artists who seek a low cost way to launch themselves as startups, to introduce themselves to potential stakeholders or to reactivate past contacts.
I’m hoping to be as diverse as possible and communication is very important, artist talks, panel discussions and social media after the exhibition (for at least 2 months) are key components of the show, if you’re not comfortable doing it, this show may not be the best fit for you.
Let's break open a new portal. Build a community with open communication, start engaging conversations first, get feedback and get to know what the audience think/want - then work towards your own show in the future.
Nobody's perfect, own it! Share your process with your non-competitive peers; not everything's going to be useful but you can learn from each other's story. We're not forming a band so no one is obligated to work with one another or out-do each other.
After this, plan your next step with your new community.

I do request participating artists to contribute to the cost of putting the exhibition together, covering expenses like venue, equipment hire, temporary fixtures and etc.
